This product is one of the main products of Zheijang Pharmaceuticals Limited (ZPE), the largest pharmaceutical company in China. It is promoted by many medical experts across the world. It is sold under the brand name "CCCH" (Chinese Herbal formula) and is available in tablet, capsule, powder, and liquid forms. It is claimed to be effective for the treatment of functional constipation (Piles), but has not been scientifically proved to be effective in treating the main problem of chronic diarrhea, especially in those with weak immune systems. It may help relieve functional constipation, but its effect is quite short-lived and is only beneficial during the nights. (kabz ka ilaj)

Constipation: Symptoms, Causes and its Herbal Treatment:

The makers of this herbal medicine for constipation claim that it contains "large amounts" of quercetinoids and flavonoids. Quercetinoids and flavonoids are believed to have anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties, which are active compounds of antioxidants. Thus, it is supposed to prevent bacteria from forming harmful toxins and to protect the body cells by producing free radicals, which are highly reactive substances.

How to Cure Constipation with Natural Ways?

One important thing to know before buying this herbal medicine for constipation from any company or vendor, you should be aware of two things: first, that Huang et al. is just a registered distributor of oleamide, which is not an herbal medicine, and second, that Huang et al. is just a middleman, who tries to sell oleamide as a legitimate herbal medicine. If you find a company with both products, you are better off going with the company that produces oleamide. While most distributors of Huang et al., including the one mentioned above, claim that their products are herbal medicines, the products are actually synthetic versions of pharmaceutical drugs that are used to treat functional constipation. As such, it is highly likely that these drugs, which are also marketed under names like "lecithin", "laxative" and "colchicine", could either interact with or damage the intestines. In other words, you might give your body "a dose" of a harmful drug without knowing it.

Natural Herbal Remedies to Treat Constipation:

The second major problem with distributors of Huang et al., including this company, is that they are often associated with "Chinese Medicine" and similar concepts. While Chinese medicine is very effective in alleviating many conditions, it is also associated with numerous serious side effects, including liver toxicity, kidney damage, and even pancreatitis, which is fatal. In this regard, it is highly unlikely that Huang therapies, when sold as over-the-counter supplements will have any effectiveness at relieving constipation or related symptoms.

The next major problem with this herbal supplement is that there is no proven effectiveness for its use in the treatment of functional constipation. This includes both positive and negative reports from actual test studies performed by independent scientists. For example, in a famous study conducted by the Center for Complementary Medicine Research at the University of Illinois' College of Medicine, investigators concluded that there was no significant improvement in constipation symptoms in patients using Huang Qi. Similarly, in a study sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, researchers concluded that there was no improvement in chronic low back pain but that the herb helped relieve the pain of osteoarthritis. Although these conclusions were drawn after conducting controlled clinical studies, it is unknown if the conclusions were influenced by the fact that all of the controlled clinical studies were done on people with either chronic or acute constipation.

Constipation: Risk Factor, Causes, Home Remedies:

Another area in which there is evidence that Huang Qi has little efficacy is in the area of treating mild to moderate symptoms of fatigue and tiredness. The lack of efficacy of this Chinese herbal supplement is most apparent in a study conducted by the National Institute of Health (NIH). According to this evaluation, there was no evidence that Huang Qi increases the endurance or muscle strength of people who took it during exercise. In addition, when researchers pooled data from three different studies including a placebo control, they were not able to find any significant difference between the placebo group and the control group in measures of fatigue. Because the lack of efficacy of Huang Qi is so severe, it would be surprising if the claims of its efficacy were true. Instead, it seems more likely that the claims are simply based on the lack of effectiveness of other pharmacometabolic medications used to treat constipation, including Metformin and pantothenic acid. The pharmacometabolomic effects of Huang Qi are therefore most likely to be in the area of treating low-grade systemic diseases like diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is not currently considered as effective as prescription drugs in any of these conditions.
